โš–๏ธ In fairness: their side

Joyce says he answers to his district, not House leadership: 'I don't work for leadership, they didn't put me in.' He calls the Obamacare vote a stopgap that was not his ideal plan, made because leadership refused to act. On the 2022 gun bill he said it 'proves that we can stop murderers without infringing on the rights of law-abiding Americans.' Answering a primary challenger who cited scorecards, he said: 'the president endorsed me, and I voted with the president 97% of the time' (his own figure). He also voted for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
