Mitch McConnell

U.S. Senator for Kentucky ยท R-KY ยท ๐Ÿ“ All of Kentucky's Republicans

๐Ÿšจ RINO Alert ๐Ÿ‘‹ Retiring

In office since 1985. Not running in 2026; leaves office January 3, 2027.

The establishment's general, now voting against the President's team.

๐Ÿ“‹ The short version

McConnell led Senate Republicans for 18 years. After the 2021 impeachment trial he said President Trump was "practically and morally responsible" for January 6. Out of leadership, he was the only Republican to vote against Tulsi Gabbard and RFK Jr., voted against Pete Hegseth, voted four times to end President Trump's tariffs, and voted against all three attempts to add the SAVE Act to the 2026 budget bills.

โ€œOur five Republican Senate Hold Outs, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Thom Tillis, Bill Cassidy, and Mitch McConnell must vote to SAVE OUR COUNTRY.โ€

โš–๏ธ In fairness: their side

McConnell has long said the Constitution leaves the running of elections to the states, which is why he opposes a national voter-ID law. He is a lifelong free-trader and opposes tariffs on allies.
