๐ŸŽ Mavericks

Rand Paul

U.S. Senator for Kentucky ยท R-KY ยท ๐Ÿ“ All of Kentucky's Republicans

๐ŸŽ Maverick ๐Ÿ›๏ธ In office

In office since 2011. Next election: 2028.

Breaks with President Trump often, but from the RIGHT.

๐Ÿ“‹ The short version

Paul voted against the One Big Beautiful Bill because it raised the debt limit by $5 trillion. He co-sponsored the resolution against the global tariffs and votes for war powers limits. But his overall record is among the most conservative in the Senate, so he is not a RINO: his breaks are about spending, free trade and war, not liberal policy.

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ How Rand Paul voted on the key votes

8 of 29 votes cast with the Democrats (weighted: 16.1%). Votes against the MAGA side are listed first.

Paul is a libertarian who opposes deficits, tariffs and wars that Congress has not declared.
