In December 2025, 21 Republicans in the Indiana Senate joined 10 Democrats to kill a new congressional map that President Trump asked for (31-19). In the May 2026 primary, Trump-endorsed challengers beat five of the seven he targeted: Dan Dernulc, Linda Rogers, Travis Holdman, Jim Buck and Greg Walker.
